Ndrangheta fugitive Santo Procopio captured Oct 25th 2012, 05:17 Ndrangheta fugitive Santo Procopio was captured by the provintial police in Catanzaro. He has been  wanted since December 2011, when he escaped Operation Showdown, a police blitz carried out against the N’drangheta clan  Sia-Procopio-Tripodi   at war with the clan Gallace.    Procopio, 27,  in 20010 was the victim in two mafia ambushes.The first was on January 26 in a town in the province of Catanzaro in which he escaped the deadly bullets of rival gang gunmen  In the second ambush, in a province in Calabria, Procopius wasn’t as lucky and was seriously wounded but was saved because he wore a bulletproof vest. Two other men were  killed in the same ambush one believed to be the boss of the rival Ndrangheta gang involved in the feud that has claimed the lives of twenty victims.
