500,000 euros seized from brother-in-law of Sicilian Mafia Boss Dec 1st 2012, 07:56 Matteo Messina Denaro. ANSA) – Rome, November 30 – The Anti-Mafia investigation squad  of  Tropani  on Friday seized 500,000 euros from the brother-in-law of  Sicilian  Cosa Nostra  boss  Matteo Messina Denaro. Firms, property and luxury cars were among the many assets seized from Gaspare Como, 45, a shady businessman convicted of mafia association and extortion. Messina Denaro’s sister Bice Maria is under investigation, police said. A wave of arrests over recent years have closed the net around the  fugitive 50-year-old Agrigento-based  boss Denaro, one of the world’s 10 most-wanted men, who took control of Cosa Nostra after the 2006 arrest of “boss of  bosses”   Bernardo Provenzano.
