Reports: Mass. mobster 'Whitey' Bulger taken to hospital Nov 5th 2012, 01:19 Mobster James Whitey Bulger BOSTON –  Mobster James “Whitey” Bulger has been transported to a hospital after suffering chest pains at a prison while awaiting trial on allegations he played a role in 19 murders, Massachusetts officials said Sunday. Plymouth Fire Department battalion chief Kevin Murphy told The Boston Globe that firefighters responded to the Plymouth County Correctional Facility at 1:48 a.m. Sunday and took Bulger to Boston Medical Center.
